Biography of Allan Jones
Born on October 14, 1907, in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, Allan Jones was an American actor and singer.

His real name was Theodore Allen Jones and he was the son of a Welsh miner. Before pursuing a career in entertainment, Jones worked in a coal mine until 1926. He then received a scholarship to Syracuse University but decided to study music at New York University under composer Claude Warford.
He furthered his musical education in Paris under Felix Leroux and in London under Sir Henry Wood.
Broadway Career and Film Success
In 1929, Jones made his Broadway debut and continued to perform on stage and in operettas until 1935.
