          MORKEL ERASMUS: I have always loved the outdoors and being immersed in the natural world. For many South Africans, going to places like Kruger and the Drakensberg are synonymous with childhood vacations.

          I am very fortunate to have been able to channel my passion for our natural heritage into a wonderful hobby-cum-artform called photography. Wildlife is one thing – but they are big and often hard to miss. Birds provide a much greater challenge to the aspiring nature photographer.
